The US Federal Transit Authority has announced a pot of 84.5 million dollars to help electrify public transport in US American communities. The money will be spent on 52 projects in 41 states.

The projects being funded include measures to purchase or lease battery-electric or hybrid buses, as well as the connected infrastructure, such as charging stations.

One of the largest projects under the banner is in Broward County, Florida, where the transit authority will receive 2.2 million dollars to replace old combustion buses with emissions-free buses, as well as the corresponding infrastructure.
