LEVC, the makers of London’s electric black cabs have been busy working on another model. Based on their TX, their electric van is to combine an electric drive with a tiny range extender and LEVC says its is not just for the last mile.

Instead the London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), previously known as LTC and still owned by Geely, sees their electric van providing “the link between out of town distribution centres and city destinations”. In other words, that is delivery around the 100 mile threshold.

While pricing has not been revealed, its is expected to be more competitive than the +50,000 pounds cabbies have to pay for an electric cab.
